Salman Khan: Real life ‘Hero’

B-town macho Khan Salman Khan has a heart bigger then his triceps and here is the reason why we repeated this phrase for Salman again and again.

Bollywood muscle man Salman Khan made a heroic entrance on the sets of Atul Agnihotri’s Bodyguard who hastened for Pune in spite of a hectic schedule in Jaipur where he was present for his philanthropic activities.

What made his efforts even more laudable was the fact that he wasn’t required on the day of the shoot since Kareena Kapoor’s solo portions were to be filmed.

Narrates a source, “The shooting had come to a halt since Kareena fell ill and Salman wasn’t expected till much later. A lot of time would have been wasted and nearly 200 people would have been left hanging if it weren’t for Salman’s quick thinking.” In order to make it on time the star took the same helicopter that had flown him to the Pink City that morning back to Pune.

“He even requested the pilot to halt at the Symbiosis Institute of Management so that time would be saved,” adds the source.

Confirmed Agnihotri, “Salman bhai saved a day's shooting for us after Kareena fell ill and was advised two days' bed rest. We were canning a song that day and so I didn't have a supporting cast to fall back on. I requested Salman bhai to return early and he was back by the time we'd finished lunch. And we shot some solo portions with him.”

Reliance BIG Pictures and Reel Life Production Pvt. Ltd.’s Bodyguard starring Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard directed by Siddique who also directed the Tamil original. The film hits theatres this Eid, August 21st 2011.
